Details In Design, is a needle art studio specializing in fine handmade linens for the altar.  Based upon European old world traditions,  we offer both professional hand embroidery and superior hand hemstitched communion-altar linens.

 

We draw our inspiration upon centuries old wisdom,  knowledge,  and expertise in flax,  fine linen weaving, and handwork.  From this rich tradition,  we provide a viable source of the finest linen and hand embroidery throughout North America.

 

Our studio and offices are located in the historic town of Williamsburg, Virginia.  The workrooms provide a full range of services including textile restoration for your fine altar linen, helping to preserve existing altar collections through repairs, stain removal, enahancement or ornamental embellishment.  This can include hand embroidery and beautiful European lace trims and inserts.

 

Details in Design is a former member of the the Irish Linen Guild and have been affliated with the Masters of Linen,  an international organization that promotes and endorses the highest standards of excellence in the manufacture and use of linen in the textile industry.   Through these afflilations, we have gained much knowlege and understanding for upholding a high standard of integrity and quality in producing the very finest church altar linens.
